SAVANNAH LA MAR PLAYGROUND
An inclusive playground at the first special needs school on the island of Jamaica.
The playground uses basic geometric shapes as a design theme and also a didactic tool. The design integrates locally sourced materials, as well as the abundant tropical flora of the island. Features aim to foster both fine and gross motor skills of the students. The bright color scheme and mural further enliven the space, while ample paved areas provide accessibility throughout the playground for children using wheelchairs.
